Thanasis, an emigrant living in Germany is deprived from any kind of pleasure; his only purpose is to collect money. Every Saturday he goes to the bank to deposit his earnings...His father and his sister live in a village back in Greece and cannot wait to see him again(all three roles are played by Thanasis Vegos). The village teacher, Mr. Epaminondas (Stratos Pahis), comes up with a way to bring him back to Greece. He writes him a letter saying that his dad is ill and that he should return immediately. When Thanasis goes to the bank to take his money, he learns that the bank declared bankruptcy...He doesn't even have money to return to Greece...The only solution left is to hitch hike his way back to Greece. He ends up in a cold storage freight truck where he arrives in Greece completely frozen...
